The New Jersey Notary Training Seminar focuses on all of the duties of the New Jersey notaries public and includes information on how to become a notary in New Jersey, responsibilities, conduct and powers of a notary, notarial equipment, proper identification of customers and electronic notarization.

The second seminar, Information Security & Identity Theft, discusses the way a person's identity may be stolen and how to avoid identity theft, how to recover after identity theft has occurred, the responsibilities of the notary to protect customers' documents and private information, and the federal requirements for information security under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.

The $89 registration fee enrolls you in the morning and afternoon seminar. Each participant will also receive a free copy of the 2008 ID Checking Guide, which shows valid driver's licenses for all 50 states in full size and color. It’s a great tool for proper identification of your customers.
